Lance Jacobs, APCC

Associate Professional Clinical Counselor

Life is full of beauty and complexity—and at times, it can feel overwhelming. You may find yourself navigating stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck. Even when things seem “fine” on the outside, it’s okay to acknowledge when something inside needs care. Therapy offers a supportive space to process what you’re carrying, gain clarity, and begin moving forward with greater confidence.

I bring over 25 years of experience in the helping people professions, walking with people from a wide range of backgrounds and contexts.  My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and grounded in deep respect for your unique story. My wife of 28 years and I have lived in the Redding area for over twenty years and are raising two daughters into young-adulthood—which gives me a real-world understanding of the challenges and richness of relationships, parenting, and personal growth.  My work in this community in the non-profit space gives me a rich context and history working with people of all ages, while I have had the privilege of working closely with children and youth in both school and community outreach settings.

I aim to offer a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel heard and empowered—and where we can also identify practical tools to help you navigate life’s challenges and transitions with clarity and resilience.

In my free time, you’ll find me coaching and playing sand volleyball, chasing waves on the coast somewhere, or off on an adventure with my family.
