Crystal Nelson, ACSW
Associate Clinical Social Worker
I want you to feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are. You don’t have to have the right words, know where to start, or pretend that you are doing okay. Sometimes we lose touch with what we need, what makes us happy, and what we truly want when we are experiencing challenging and overwhelming times.
Together, we can process challenges, understand your thoughts and feelings, and identify behaviors that no longer work for you. I want to support you to identify and build upon your strengths to make changes and move towards the life that feels more like you.
I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from California State University, Chico, with over 11 years of social work experience. I am committed to helping individuals, including adults, teens, and children, find connection and hope, and work toward real change. My experience in social work shaped my trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to therapy. This background helps me understand complex circumstances, recognize resilience, and respond to each person’s unique needs. I will meet you where you are with warmth and compassion, supporting you through challenges and toward meaningful change.
I was born and raised in Shasta County and have called this area home most of my life. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I am a mom to four boys in a blended family, and there is never a dull moment. Together, we enjoy spending time outdoors and making memories. Parenting keeps life interesting and has taught me humility and the importance of finding humor and joy in the moments along the way.
